Thanksgiving Day was truly a day for giving thanks and celebrating family as around 74 people, young and old, gathered for a delicious traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.  We also delivered an additional 15 dinners. We would like to express special thanks to (cooks) John and Linda Weinman, (set up)Skip and Cindy Curtis and their two children, Kiley and Calvin.and Bev Gray (fresh rolls)  For dinner we served turkey, mashed potatoes, squash, stuffing, corn, peas, gravy, stuffed celery, molded jello salad, fresh rolls, and pies galore. Apple, asst. berry pie, chocolate, pumpkin, cream pie and banana pie.

Christmas Around the World:   On Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at EOCC young and old alike took a journey around the world for a Christmas pageant.  Those who attended the program received a special blessing as their hearts were warmed by performances of children and adults alike. After the program people gathered downstairs in Carlson Hall where they sampled food from the different countries and experienced the joy of Chrismas in different cultures.

 

EOCC Youth Group Feed the Homeless:  On Sunday January 30, 2011 the Youth Group of EOCC  headed to Columbia Street Baptist Church where they  fed the homeless with a meal they prepared.  The Youth at EOCC feed the hopeless on the fifth Sunday of any month that has five Sundays.
